Two departments: in the southwestern part of Beijing and in some parts of southern Gansu, there is a high meteorological risk of geological disasters.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued a geological disaster meteorological risk warning at 18:00 on August 27th. It is predicted that from 20:00 on August 27th to 20:00 on August 28th, there will be a higher risk of geological disasters in certain areas of western and northern Beijing, western and northern Hebei, southwestern Liaoning, central and northern Sichuan, western Yunnan, and southern Gansu. In particular, there will be a high risk of geological disasters in some local areas in southwestern Beijing and southern Gansu. All levels of government and relevant departments are requested to carry out geological disaster prevention work in accordance with emergency plans. The public is advised to pay attention to the geological disaster meteorological risk warning information and to be cautious when entering the warning areas. In areas under orange warning, high-risk hidden points and threatened individuals should evacuate immediately to nearby safe locations according to the instructions of local disaster prevention departments. Individuals near slopes, cliffs, ravines, or water bodies should evacuate to nearby safe locations in response to evacuation signals. In areas under yellow warning, individuals are advised to pay attention to changes in the warning information, observe nearby warning signs, and avoid staying in high-risk areas such as ravines, slopes, and cliffs.
