Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Securities Index Company released 9 Shanghai base market-making bond indexes including Shanghai Base Market-making Local Government Bond Index.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. will officially launch the Shanghai benchmark market-making local government bond index and 9 other Shanghai benchmark market-making bond indices on August 28, 2025, providing the market with diversified performance benchmarks and investment targets. The Shanghai benchmark market-making local government bond index and the other 9 Shanghai benchmark market-making bond indices select bonds listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange that meet the criteria for benchmark market-making varieties set by the exchange, and have bond types and remaining maturities that align with the index sampling rules as index samples, in order to reflect the overall performance of bonds with good liquidity on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
