Shanghai Stock Exchange: Releases 9 Shanghai Benchmark Bond Indices Including the Shanghai Benchmark Market Government Bond Index

According to the official website of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. will officially launch nine Shanghai Stock Exchange benchmark market-making bond indexes, including the Shanghai benchmark market-making local government bond index, on August 28, 2025. These indexes will provide the market with diversified performance benchmarks and investment targets. The nine Shanghai benchmark market-making bond indexes, including the Shanghai benchmark market-making local government bond index, will select bonds listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange that meet the criteria of benchmark market-making varieties and have bond types and remaining periods that comply with the index selection rules, in order to reflect the overall performance of bonds with good liquidity on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
