The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued the "Guiding Opinions on Optimizing Business Entry to Promote the Development of Satellite Communication Industry", organizing commercial trials of satellite Internet of Things (IoT) to support eligible enterprises to provide wide-area IoT connectivity services in areas such as sky, ocean, and remote regions where ground networks are unable to cover, relying on low-orbit satellite IoT constellations. Research will be conducted to establish new satellite communication businesses to further expand opening to private enterprises. Private enterprises are encouraged to legally and compliantly utilize various high and low-orbit satellite resources through renting satellite resources, providing value-added services, and distributing agency businesses in order to revitalize existing satellite resources, enrich business categories, and prosper the satellite communication market.
