The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Guiding Opinions on Optimizing Business Access to Promote the Development of the Satellite Communication Industry," proposing that by 2030, the management system and policies and regulations of satellite communication will be further improved, the development environment of the industry will continue to be optimized, various types of business entities will fully unleash their innovative vitality, and the comprehensive development level of infrastructure, industrial supply, technical standards, international cooperation, etc. will be significantly improved. New modes and formats such as direct satellite connection on mobile phones will be widely applied, the number of satellite communication users will exceed tens of millions, and satellite communication will be fully integrated into the new development landscape to effectively serve the high-quality economic and social development. The "Guiding Opinions" put forward 19 ideas and measures from six aspects of promoting high-quality development of the satellite communication industry, including orderly expansion of market openness, continuous expansion of application scenarios, cultivation and development of industrial ecology, optimization of telecom resource supply, strengthening of satellite communication supervision, and enhancement of collaborative efforts.
