According to the Wall Street Journal, on August 26th, Trump told his advisors that he wanted to take quick action to announce a replacement for Cook. Potential candidates for the position reportedly include White House Economic Adviser Committee Chairman Stephen Milun and former World Bank President David Malpass. On the same day, Trump said at a cabinet meeting at the White House that there were very good candidates to replace Cook, but he still needed to talk to many people involved in making this decision.
