Sun Ji, Deputy Director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that the Ministry will continue to promote the "construction, utilization, and research" in a coordinated manner, further consolidate and enhance the competitive advantage and leading position of the information and communication industry. Firstly, focus on network construction and upgrading, continuously improve the coverage and depth of 5G and gigabit optical network, accelerate the deployment of 5G-A and 10-gigabit optical network pilot projects, implement universal telecommunication services and "broadband border" construction, continue to carry out the "signal upgrade" special action, and accelerate the construction of a national integrated computing network system. Secondly, focus on application landing and promotion, implement the upgraded plan of the "Sailing" action for large-scale application of 5G, the upgraded version of the "5G + Industrial Internet" 512 project, and the three-year action plan for "Integration", and promote the synergy and empowerment of the information and communication industry with artificial intelligence. Thirdly, focus on technological innovation and breakthroughs, accelerate the landing deployment of 5G-A product system and high-quality network, accelerate the research and development of 6G technology, and proactively develop and cultivate the application industry ecosystem for 6G.
