Ministry of Transport: Fixed asset investment in transportation amounted to 306.1 billion yuan in July.

According to the Transportation and Communication News, on August 27th, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held a press conference. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Li Ying, introduced that in July of this year, the economic operation of transportation and communications continued to show a positive trend, with stable growth in freight volume and cross-regional passenger flow, rapid growth in port cargo throughput, and high levels of fixed asset investment in transportation. In July, the transportation sector completed fixed asset investment of 306.1 billion yuan. By category, railway completed investments of 77.1 billion yuan, roads completed investments of 200.5 billion yuan, including investments in expressways, national and provincial highways, and rural roads of 98.1 billion yuan, 52.9 billion yuan, and 31.7 billion yuan respectively; waterways completed investments of 17.3 billion yuan; and civil aviation completed investments of 11.2 billion yuan. From January to July, fixed asset investment in transportation reached 1.95 trillion yuan.
