Ministry of Commerce: Several policy measures to expand service consumption will be introduced in September.

According to the Securities Times app, on August 27, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the progress of China's service trade development and the preparations for the 2025 Service Trade Fair. Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, stated that this year, the Ministry of Commerce has played a coordinating role in promoting the development of service consumption. For example, a special train for elderly tourism has been launched, and a series of policy documents have been introduced in areas such as expanding and improving home services, promoting health consumption, and encouraging green consumption. The Ministry has also introduced policies such as service consumption and elderly re-lending, as well as interest subsidies for service industry entities, to promote service consumption. The Ministry will continue to ensure the implementation of policies and translate the value of policies into actual results in expanding service consumption. Next month, the Ministry of Commerce will introduce several policy measures to further expand service consumption, coordinating the use of financial and fiscal means to optimize and enhance the capacity of service supply and stimulate growth in service consumption.
