By 2035, the amount of arable land in the Yellow River Basin of Shanxi Province shall not be less than 39.9179 million mu.

According to the Natural Resources Department of Shanxi Province, the Shanxi Provincial People's Government recently approved the "Shanxi Province Yellow River Basin Land and Space Planning", proposing to strengthen the bottom line of land and space security. By 2035, the arable land reserve in the Yellow River Basin of Shanxi Province shall not be less than 39.9179 million mu, of which the area of permanent basic farmland protection shall not be less than 33.2547 million mu; the area of ecological protection red line shall not be less than 24,400 square kilometers; and the area of urban development boundaries shall be controlled within 3,267.44 square kilometers.
