By 2027, China will have completed the construction of 300,000 kilometers of newly renovated rural roads.

Today, the Ministry of Transport held a press conference to introduce the "Action Plan for Upgrading Rural Roads" jointly issued by the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Natural Resources. The "Action Plan" clearly states that by 2027, the country will complete the construction and renovation of 300,000 kilometers of rural roads, implement maintenance projects for another 300,000 kilometers, maintain a road quality rate of over 70%, implement safety protection projects for 150,000 kilometers, renovate 9,000 old and dangerous bridges, increase the rate of villages with public transportation access to over 55%, and strive for comprehensive coverage of integrated rural passenger and freight services in counties that meet the conditions.
