Xi'an Intellectual Property Trading Service Center plans to officially operate in October this year.

Yang Zuotao, Deputy Secretary-General of the Xi'an Municipal Government, revealed at the National Intellectual Property Office's routine press conference in August that in order to solve the issues of value assessment and technology transfer in the process of technological achievement transformation, Xi'an City is relying on the co-construction mechanism with the National Intellectual Property Office, adopting the construction model of "introducing from the outside and connecting internally," introducing a national-level technology trading platform, systematically integrating high-quality resources, and jointly building the "Xi'an Intellectual Property Trading Service Center" to create a hub for trading patents, trademarks, copyrights, and technological achievements, and to promote Xi'an's "good technology" to achieve a "good value" and find a "good way out." Currently, all preparatory work is accelerating, with plans to officially start operation in October of this year. Yang Zuotao also introduced that in the 2024 Global Innovation Index report released by the World Intellectual Property Organization, Xi'an ranked 18th in the list of the top 100 global technology clusters, and is the 7th cluster in China to make the list.
