Agricultural Bank of China (01288.HK) redeems 2020 perpetual capital bonds (Series 2).

Zhtng Cijng APP news, Agricultural Bank of China (01288.HK) announced that on August 20, 2020, the bank issued RMB 35 billion of perpetual capital bonds in the national interbank bond market. According to the relevant provisions of the prospectus for this bond issuance, the bonds have a redemption right for the issuer, who has the right to redeem the bonds in full on the interest payment date of the fifth year of this bond issue (i.e. August 24, 2025, which happens to be a rest day, so the fund payment will be postponed to the first working day after that, August 25, 2025).
