Air quality conditions in July announced, national PM2.5 concentration significantly decreased.

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the national air quality situation in July 2025. In July, the average concentration of PM2.5 in 339 cities at or above the prefectural level nationwide was 14.5 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 8.2%; the average concentration of PM10 was 28 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 3.4%; the average proportion of good and excellent days was 93.0%, a year-on-year increase of 1.0 percentage point; the average proportion of heavy pollution days and above was 0.2%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1 percentage point.
