Korean Air reaches record-breaking $50 billion deal with American company.

On Monday local time, the United States and South Korea announced a series of agreements in Washington, including billions of dollars in investments, a record-breaking $50 billion aviation procurement by Korean Air, and new energy cooperation. The leaders of the two countries held a meeting in the Oval Office that day. This includes $150 billion in investments pledged by South Korean companies, ordering 103 aircraft from Boeing, purchasing Korean ships, and establishing a shipbuilding partnership. In addition, Korean Air announced a nearly $50 billion deal to purchase aircraft and engines from US manufacturers. This deal by the flagship South Korean airline includes a $36.2 billion purchase of 103 aircraft from US aircraft manufacturer Boeing, and a $13.7 billion purchase of aircraft engines and maintenance services from General Electric Aviation Group. It is reported that this is the largest deal in the history of the airline company.
