On August 26th, local time, Australia released the "National Drowning Report" which shows that the country has recorded the highest number of drowning deaths in the past 12 months. The report indicates that in the past 12 months, a total of 357 people in Australia died from drowning, which is 27% higher than the average level of the past ten years. Among them, the drowning rate of the 15 to 24 age group saw the largest increase, rising by 38% compared to the past ten-year average. Furthermore, one third of drowning deaths occurred in people aged 65 and above.
