For every 5 electric cars, there are 2 charging stations. China has built the world's largest electric car charging network.
The State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "high-quality completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan". A relevant person from the National Energy Administration stated that the 14th Five-Year Plan will see a more abundant and resilient energy supply. In the first four years of the 14th Five-Year Plan, China's energy consumption increment has already reached 1.5 times that of the entire 13th Five-Year Plan period, and it is expected that the five-year increment in electricity consumption will exceed the annual electricity consumption of the EU. During these five years, energy resource allocation will be further optimized, energy infrastructure networks will be more perfected, and 40% of energy consumption in the eastern regions will come from "west-to-east electricity transmission", "west-to-east gas transmission", "north-to-south coal transportation" and other "energy arteries". During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the world's largest electric vehicle charging network has also been built in China, with 2 charging piles for every 5 electric vehicles.
