Multiple technological innovations! The Long March 8A rocket initiates a pulsatile assembly test launch process.
On August 26, 2025 at 3:08 AM Beijing time, China successfully launched the 10th group of satellites for the satellite internet low orbit using the Long March 8A carrier rocket at the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Center. The satellite successfully entered its designated orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success. The Long March 8A rocket used in this launch is a new generation medium-sized liquid carrier rocket developed by China to meet the demand for launching large-scale constellation networks in medium and low orbits. Since its first flight in February of this year, this was the third mission it has carried out, demonstrating its ability to execute multiple tasks in parallel with high-density launches. The Long March 8A rocket is an upgraded version of the Long March 8 rocket, maintaining the first stage rocket and boosters while upgrading the second stage to a thicker, stronger body, with a carrying capacity of 7 tons to sun-synchronous orbit.
