A French firefighting helicopter crashed while collecting water.

On August 24th, local time, in the town of Lopolden in the Finistre department of the Brittany region in western France, a helicopter lost control and crashed into a pond while trying to extinguish a forest fire by taking water from it. According to the Lopolden town government, the pilot and a firefighter on board the Airbus H125 helicopter, as well as a bystander at the scene, have been taken to hospital for treatment. Currently, there are no reports of any fatalities.
