Nvidia has announced the release of its Jetson AGX Thor robot chip module development kit priced at $3,499. This chip, known as the "robot brain," will ship next month and customers will be able to use it to create robot prototypes. Bulk orders of more than 1,000 Thor T5000 modules are priced at $2,999 each. The chip features Nvidia's Blackwell graphics processor, which is 7.5 times faster than previous generation products and supports the creation of AI models with 128GB of memory. CEO Huang Renxun sees robot technology as a key growth area, accounting for 1% of Nvidia's revenue, but with sales growing rapidly at an annual rate of up to 72%.
