The strike entered its fourth week, Boeing (BA.US) and the machinists' union are planning to restart negotiations.
According to the Securities Times APP, Boeing Company (BA.US) and leaders of the machinists' union are scheduled to resume contract negotiations on Monday. Boeing's defense workers in the St. Louis area and Illinois have been on strike since August 4, 2025, assembling F-15 and F/A-18 aircraft. The workers rejected Boeing's offer of a 20% pay raise, $5,000 approval bonus, more holidays and sick leave, and a pathway to increase wages. Boeing defense spokesperson Didi VanNierop said that so far the company has managed to maintain production, flight testing, and other work using non-union workers.
