China Meteorological Administration has upgraded the emergency response for heavy rain to level III. Heavy to torrential rains are expected in some northern regions.

The China Meteorological Administration has raised the emergency response for major meteorological disasters to Level III: It is expected that from the night of August 25 to the 28th, there will be heavy rainfall in the northern regions from west to east. In particular, some areas in the eastern part of the northwest region, North China, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Sichuan, etc. will experience heavy rain, and there will be severe convective weather such as short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds in some areas of southern Gansu, eastern Inner Mongolia, central Hebei, and western Beijing. After comprehensive assessment and emergency consultations, the China Meteorological Administration issued an order at 16:50 on August 25 to raise the emergency response level for major meteorological disasters from Level IV to Level III. Provincial meteorological administrations in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, etc. will activate or raise the corresponding level of emergency response based on actual assessment.
