Wang Jun, Deputy Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, customs have seized a total of 260,000 batches of suspected infringing goods, close to 4 billion pieces, effectively curbing the trend of infringement in import and export. 20,000 new rights holders have been registered, with nearly 100,000 intellectual property rights recorded. Additionally, cooperation with relevant domestic departments has been strengthened, and administrative protection and criminal justice have been effectively connected. Moreover, the General Administration of Customs has established a mechanism for sharing information on product quality and safety with 35 countries and regions, and has established a collaborative mechanism for handling defective products in import and export with domestic market supervision, industry and information technology, commerce, and other departments, enhancing cooperation in ensuring the quality and safety of import and export goods.
