From 00:00 on August 17, 2025 to 24:00 on August 23, 2025, a total of 336 new local cases of Kyasanur Forest Disease were reported in the province, with no reported severe cases or deaths. The cases were distributed as follows: 206 cases in Foshan, 62 cases in Guangzhou, 15 cases in Zhanjiang, 13 cases in Chaozhou, 9 cases in Shenzhen, 8 cases in Heyuan, 6 cases in Huizhou, 5 cases in Dongguan, 3 cases each in Zhuhai and Yangjiang, 2 cases in Shaoguan, and 1 case each in Jiangmen, Maoming, Meizhou, and Jieyang.
