The second round of recall voting for 7 Kuomintang party members of the Legislative Yuan was held on the 23rd. The results showed that none of the recall cases were successful, and the Kuomintang Party won a clean sweep in the second round of the "big recall" voting. The voting took place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day. During the subsequent vote counting process, the "disagree with recall" votes for all 7 recall cases consistently outnumbered the "agree with recall" votes, resulting in all of them failing. The "restart of Nuclear Reactor 3" voting initiated by the Taiwan People's Party also took place on August 23. According to the vote count, the number of votes in favor far exceeded the number of votes against, but the total number of favorable votes did not reach the threshold for approval.
