With the further development of AI, we need to build advanced data infrastructure to break the data silos, integrate data, and promote the application and value creation of AI. During the 2025 China Computing Power Conference held on August 23, Huawei's Vice President and President of the Data Storage Product Line, Zhou Yuefeng, stated in his keynote speech that AI is transitioning from generative AI to intelligent AI, and the data infrastructure around "collection-storage-management-usage" will become a key infrastructure in the AI era. Zhou Yuefeng pointed out that China's data retention rate is only 2.8%, and the proportion of Chinese language corpus used for AI training globally is relatively low. At the same time, high-quality industry data is scarce and has a low sharing rate, with a large amount of data stored in "silos" and less than 25% data sharing rate among enterprises. Zhou Yuefeng believes that at the city level, building advanced storage centers can achieve the transition from silo governance to comprehensive data aggregation and trusted circulation; at the industry level, constructing high-quality industry corpora can achieve the transition from dispersed utilization to intelligent fusion of multidimensional data; and at the enterprise level, building AI data lakes can achieve the transition from "single intelligence" to "multi-agent collaboration". "Huawei adheres to open source and openness, willing to work together with numerous industry-academic-research forces to continuously enrich the data infrastructure technology ecosystem and help China accelerate its transformation from a 'data giant' to a 'data powerhouse'," Zhou Yuefeng said.
