The journalist learned from the Hainan Provincial Meteorological Bureau that the tropical depression in the South China Sea has strengthened this morning (23rd) and has become the 13th typhoon of the year, named "Kajiki" (tropical storm level; English name: Kajiki; name source: Japan; meaning: swordfish constellation). At 08:00 this morning, its center was located over the sea about 770 kilometers east of Sanya City, Hainan Province (latitude 17.3 degrees north, longitude 116.7 degrees east). The maximum wind force near the center is 8 (18 meters/second), and the minimum central pressure is 998 hPa, with a wind circle radius of 160-220 kilometers. It is expected that "Kajiki" will continue to move in a west-northwest direction at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, strengthening in intensity and gradually approaching the southern coast of Hainan Island.
