According to data from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as of the week ending on August 19, speculators reduced their net short positions on Chicago Mercantile Exchange U.S. 5-year Treasury Note futures by 57,986 contracts, to a total of 2,508,383 contracts.
