Online sales of key products quality and safety coding verification pilot work officially starts.

On August 22nd, the "Coding Verification Initiative for Online Product Quality and Safety" was held in Beijing. The event marked the official launch of the pilot work for the coding verification of key online product quality and safety. Deng Zhiyong, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and Director of the National Standards Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech, while Chief Engineer Liu Min presided over the meeting. Officials from the market supervision bureaus of Beijing and Zhejiang, as well as representatives from two platform companies, exchanged views at the event. Officials from market supervision bureaus in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Sichuan, Hunan, and relevant departments of the State Administration also attended the meeting. Ten platforms including Taobao, Kuaishou, Pinduoduo, Douyin, JD.com, Suning, Xiaohongshu, Dianwu, Vipshop, and Tencent jointly issued an initiative to voluntarily fulfill their responsibilities for coding verification, effectively monitor the entry of products onto their platforms, and create a safe and reliable online consumption environment.
