The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved the resignation application of the Prime Minister.

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, voted to approve the resignation request of the Prime Minister, Radovan Vikovi, on August 22nd. All 60 members present at the special session voted in favor. Vikovi stated at the beginning of the special session that as a politically responsible person, he had decided to resign in order to promote greater consensus and unity within Republika Srpska. The special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska was briefly postponed due to an anonymous bomb threat. On August 18th, Prime Minister Radovan Vikovi announced his resignation.
