By the end of the second quarter of 2025, the total assets of financial institutions in China's banking industry were 46.73 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.9%. Among them, the total assets of large commercial banks in both domestic and foreign currencies were 20.42 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%, accounting for 43.7%; the total assets of joint-stock commercial banks in both domestic and foreign currencies were 7.57 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%, accounting for 16.2%.
