China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission: Encouraging qualified financial institutions from Taiwan to invest in and hold shares in corporate banks, trust companies, and other institutions in Fujian.

The General Office of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission issued "Several Measures on Supporting the Construction of Cross-Strait Integration and Development Demonstration Zone in Fujian by the Banking and Insurance Industry". The notice proposes to support Taiwanese banks that meet certain conditions to establish legal entities and branches in Fujian, and to support Taiwanese banks that meet certain conditions to establish branches and subsidiaries in Fujian at the same time. Encouraging Taiwanese financial institutions that meet certain conditions to invest in Fujian's legal banks, trust companies, and other institutions. Supporting mainland Taiwanese insurance legal entities to establish branches in Fujian in accordance with the law; supporting Taiwanese banks and insurance institutions to increase capital and expand shares to enhance their capital strength.
