Cui Dongshu: At the end of July, the total inventory of the national passenger car industry was 3.29 million units, a decrease of 30,000 units from the previous month.
According to the Securities Times app, Cui Dongshu, the secretary-general of the China Passenger Car Association, stated in an article that by the end of July 2025, the national inventory of passenger cars totaled 3.29 million, a decrease of 30,000 from the previous month and 40,000 from July 2024, showing a significant improvement in inventory reduction. The current policy implementation has brought overall optimism to manufacturers, with the push for trade-ins driving higher production. Manufacturers' wholesale activities are relatively positive, with industry inventory reaching a new high of 3.5 million in April, the highest in almost two years. However, from May to July, car companies have become more rational in controlling production, reducing inventory pressure on dealers and leading to continuous destocking from May to July. In July, inventory dropped to 3.29 million, showing a positive trend.
