Tropical depression may strengthen into a typhoon: Meteorological department in Hainan Province issues warning.
Today, the journalist learned from the meteorological observatory of Hainan Province that, according to monitoring, a tropical depression has formed in the eastern sea of the Philippines this morning. At 8 o'clock, the center was located at 16.3 degrees north latitude and 122.5 degrees east longitude, which is about 250 kilometers northeast of Manila in the sea. The maximum wind force near the center is 6 levels. It is expected that the tropical depression will move in a west-northwesterly direction at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour, passing through the island of Luzon in the Philippines during the day and entering the eastern sea of the South China Sea at night, possibly developing into the 13th typhoon of the year within the next 24 hours. It is gradually heading towards the southern coast of Hainan Island and it is not ruled out that it may pass by or make landfall on the southern coast of Hainan Island on the night of the 24th.
