Launch of National Industrial Cultural Resources Survey

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a notice to organize a survey of industrial cultural resources. The purpose of this survey is to comprehensively understand the historical, technological, social, and artistic value of industrial cultural resources formed in the process of industrialization in China, scientifically evaluate the status of resource protection and activation, establish a national database of industrial cultural resources and a dynamic management mechanism, and provide basic support for promoting the protection and inheritance, value exploration, carrier construction, and industrial cultivation. The survey targets the project owners or operational management entities of industrial cultural resources. The survey content includes five categories: industrial heritage, industrial theme exhibition venues, industrial tourism destinations, industrial versions, and industrial cultural resource agglomeration areas.
