On August 21, it was learned from the Sinopec News Office that the Red Star Shale Gas Field in Jianghan Oilfield, with a proven reserve of 1650.25 billion cubic meters of shale gas, has successfully passed the approval of the Ministry of Natural Resources. This marks the birth of Hubei's first gas field with a reserve of over one trillion cubic meters, and also China's first large-scale shale gas field in the Permian system. As the core area of this gas field, Lichuan City will add strength to Hubei in order to ensure national energy security.
