According to a report from Citigroup, the advertising business of Kuaishou may face resistance in the second half of the year, leading to a revised advertising growth expectation for the company from nearly 20% to 13%. The unexpected tightening of online payment policies in Brazil has affected local companies' advertising spending. Chinese food delivery platforms have also reduced their marketing spending on the Kuaishou short video app as their price wars have led to an increase in user traffic. However, Citigroup expects that Kuaishou's self-developed AI video generation tool, Kelin, will perform better. After Kelin recorded revenue of over 250 million yuan in the second quarter, Citigroup has raised its revenue forecast for 2025 to 125 million USD. Citigroup believes that if the growth momentum in the second half of the year exceeds expectations, there may be room for revenue to increase.
