Director Luo Wen of the State Administration for Market Regulation stated at a press conference on August 22 that we are strengthening monitoring and evaluation of monopoly risks in key areas, enhancing regular supervision of the platform economy, and setting red lights and bottom lines to prevent and stop disorderly competition in the online market. We are continuing to carry out special anti-monopoly law enforcement actions in the people's livelihood field, investigating monopoly cases in the pharmaceutical sector, and promoting the restoration of drug prices to a reasonable level; investigating monopoly cases in the sectors of water supply, gas supply, building materials, and motor vehicle testing, effectively reducing the cost of living for the public and the production burden of business entities. We are enhancing the review of operator concentration in key areas such as the platform economy and natural monopolies, with a total of 3,400 cases reviewed and 145 cases of illegal operator concentration violations investigated, effectively maintaining the order of fair competition in the market.
