Response to the US accusations, Vice President of Venezuela: The DEA is actually the largest drug trafficking group.

On August 21st local time, Venezuelan Vice President Rodriguez responded to accusations by the Director of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration that Venezuela was trafficking drugs to Mexican drug cartels, stating that the DEA is actually the "world's largest drug trafficking organization, countless documents and evidence can confirm this." Rodriguez emphasized that in the DEA's own National Drug Threat Analysis Reports for 2024 and 2025, Venezuela was not listed as a "significant factor in drug trafficking to the U.S." Rodriguez pointed out that these accusations are aimed at providing an excuse to invade Venezuela in order to seize its vast energy wealth and destabilize the country. Venezuela will steadfastly defend its territorial integrity, national sovereignty, and the historical dignity of its people.
