Since the beginning of this year, the central and western regions of China have led the country in the growth of commodity trade imports and exports. The six central provinces have continued to strengthen their new business formats and products in import and export, with a total of 2.2 trillion yuan in imports and exports in the first seven months, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year, reaching a historical high for the same period. The twelve western provinces have also maintained growth in foreign trade imports and exports, totaling 2.5 trillion yuan in the first seven months, an increase of 10.5% year-on-year. Among them, Sichuan continues to lead in the western region, accounting for 24.3% of western foreign trade; Qinghai and Xinjiang have seen significant increases, with growth rates of 49.3% and 27.3% respectively.
