According to the website of the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Hainan Province, in order to standardize the construction of nearly zero-energy buildings in Hainan Province, and implement the requirements of peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality in the construction sector, the department organized relevant units to formulate the "Technical Standards for Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings in Hainan Province." The standard started its drafting work in early November 2024 and has completed the draft for public opinion. It is now open to the public for comments.
