Chengdu Housing Provident Fund Latest Adjustment: The minimum down payment ratio for housing provident fund loans to purchase affordable housing is 15%
On August 21st, the Chengdu Housing Provident Fund Management Committee officially issued the "Notice on Policies related to the Support of Provident Fund Depositors in Purchasing and Renting Affordable Housing." Taking into account the actual situation in Chengdu, the notice aims to optimize relevant policies of the housing provident fund, including reducing the down payment ratio, increasing the loan amount, supporting the combination of provident fund loan and commercial loan, supporting intergenerational assistance, supporting rental to purchase, and supporting withdrawal for renting, among others.
For those purchasing affordable housing using housing provident fund loans, the minimum down payment ratio is 15%. For those purchasing affordable housing using housing provident fund loans, the maximum loan amount for single and double depositors has been increased by 50% from the current levels of 60,000 and 100,000 yuan to 90,000 and 150,000 yuan respectively. This essentially enables depositors to cover the remaining funds needed for purchasing a house after the down payment with the housing provident fund loan, thus reducing the burden of homebuyers.
