According to the Securities Times APP, on August 21st, the National Energy Administration released data on the total electricity consumption in July. In July, the total electricity consumption was 10,226 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 8.6% year-on-year. In terms of electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 17 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 20.2% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 5,936 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 2,081 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 10.7% year-on-year; and the electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 2,039 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 18.0% year-on-year.
