National Energy Administration: Total electricity consumption in the whole society from January to July reached 586.33 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year.

According to data from the National Energy Administration, from January to July, the total electricity consumption of the whole society accumulated to 58,633 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 4.5% compared to the same period last year, with the electricity generation of large-scale industries at 54,703 billion kilowatt-hours. In terms of electricity consumption by sector, the electricity consumption of the primary industry was 847 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 10.8% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the secondary industry was 37,403 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year; the electricity consumption of the tertiary industry was 11,251 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.8% year-on-year; and the electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' living was 9,132 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year.
