A refugee camp in western Sudan was attacked, resulting in 27 casualties.

On August 21st local time, the Sudanese civil organization "Sudan Doctors Network" issued a statement stating that the Abu Shouk refugee camp north of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state in western Sudan, was shelled by armed groups on the night of the 20th, resulting in the deaths of 9 people, including 5 children and 4 women, and 18 others were injured. The statement claimed that the Sudan Rapid Support Forces launched the attack and accused the armed groups of deliberately harming unarmed civilians. The Sudan Rapid Support Forces have not yet responded to the allegations.
