The State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has initiated a Level IV emergency response to flood prevention in Liaoning, Sichuan, and Yunnan provinces.

According to the meteorological department forecast, from August 21st to 22nd, there will be heavy to torrential rain in some areas of Liaoning, Sichuan, and Yunnan, with locally severe rain in the central and southeastern parts of Liaoning, the southern part of the Sichuan Basin, and the northeastern part of Yunnan. In accordance with the "National Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan" and relevant regulations, the National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters initiated a level four flood control emergency response for Liaoning, Sichuan, and Yunnan at 13:00 on August 21st.
