According to a Reuters survey: 92% of economists believe that the Bank of Japan will keep the key interest rate at 0.50% until the end of September. More than two-thirds of economists express concerns that there will be increased pressure for fiscal expansion after the Japanese senate elections. Among 29 economists, 22 "strongly" or "somewhat" approve of the Japan-US tariff agreement. 70% of economists believe that the weak employment data in the United States will not delay the Bank of Japan's interest rate hike. Economists suggest that the Bank of Japan will raise interest rates again in the fourth quarter, possibly taking action in October.
