On Wednesday's closing in New York, spot gold rose by 0.99% to $3348.46 per ounce, with continuous fluctuation in an overall trading range of $3311.60-3350.24 throughout the day. On the daily chart, the price of gold rose to a record high of $3500.10 on April 22nd, and has since continued to fluctuate at high levels, with $3200 forming a strong support. COMEX gold futures rose by 0.99% to $3391.90 per ounce. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up by 2.21% at 230.27 points.
