The Lilly company announced that Anne White, Executive Vice President of the neuroscience department, will retire at the end of this year, ending her thirty-year career with the company. She will continue in her position and as a member of the executive committee until December 31, during which time the company will conduct internal and external searches to find her successor. Anne White played a key role in shaping Lilly's research and development strategy, overseeing the launch of the company's first Alzheimer's treatment and leading Lilly's oncology department in the acquisition of Loxo Oncology.
