Jingdong Material Research Institute project started.

On August 20, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony of BOE Material Research Institute project was successfully held in Bajiao District of Huang Bohai New Area, Yantai City, Shandong Province. It is understood that Yantai BOE Material Research Institute covers an area of 33,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 55,000 square meters. It is planned to integrate research and development center, advanced testing and analysis platform, administrative office, and complete living facilities, and is expected to be put into use by the end of 2026. The research institute aims to build an industry-leading automated material research and industrialization closed-loop system by creating four major technology platforms based on AI+: automated synthesis, fully automatic analysis and detection, intellectual property, and material validation. It is committed to achieving efficient, precise, and commercialized material research.
